AAATakeCharge is an Employment
Network that is working together with the Department of Vocational
Rehabilitation (DVR) in a joint effort to provide an incentive for people to
leave the disability benefit rolls. If
you assign your Ticket to Work to DVR, have rehabilitation costs that are less
than $10,000, and become employed, DVR will receive monthly cash payments of
$125 for up to five years as long as you remain employed.
It is up to the discretion of DVR if they are willing to share this
post-employment payment with you. If
you assign your Ticket to Work to AAATakeCharge, you will be able to keep 75% of
this monthly $125 and AAATakeCharge will keep 25% for up to five years.
As an SSDI beneficiary you would be able to get this monthly payment,
post-employment in the months you do not earn SGA during your Extended Period of
Eligibility (EPE) and in the following months you do not receive an SSDI
payment. This money is designed for
you to pay for expenses that will keep you off of the benefits rolls.
