The Ticket to Work program is a program designed to help people with disabilities enter the workforce. It is designed for people between the ages of 18 and 65 who are SSI and/or SSDI beneficiaries who want to work. Eligible individuals will receive a ticket that can be used to assign an employment network in helping the individual ticket-holder find employment. Employment networks in this area are the Department of Vocational Rehabilitation (DVR) toll free at (866) 445-1522 and the STOUT Vocational Rehabilitation Institute (VRI) at (715) 232-1419. Once the ticket has been assigned, the employment network develops a work plan that defines goals needed to reach in order to gain employment. The benefit to using the ticket is that Continuing Disability Reviews (CDRs) are suspended as long as the individual is participating and making timely progress on their work plan. For more information about the Ticket to Work program, you may call their toll-free number at 1-866-968-7842. You may also visit their website at www.yourtickettowork.com
